WELLINGTON.
September 1. Mr Shaw, R.M., delivered judgment in the smuggled tobacco case re Baruard, Sorwell, and Walter Lee. His Worship gave Baruard the benefit of the doubt, and discharged him. The case against Sorwell was withdrawn by leave of the Court, and Walter Lee, who had pleaded guilty, was fined £100, with the alternative of six months' imprisonment.
