Messrs Monteith and Co will sell afc the Shamrock yards to-morrow, cattle, at 1 p.m.; after which, 2,800 totara posts. A number of properties for sale by Messrs Brooking and Dobson will be found in our advertising columns. "v A public meeting in connection with the ;Petane Jockey Club is called for Saturday next. The reception of tenders for filling in the Union Steamship Company's section at the Spit will close on Thursday next. Tenders for the erection of two shops at Hastings must be sent in by tho 3rd proximo. Tenders for draying wool to and from Kuriepapanga must be sent in by Thursday next. X Messrs Euddock and Fryer have received a large consignment of new goods, including ranges, stoves, disc harrows, and grass seeds. Tenders are required for the lease of the Napier Grammar School premises for a period of 11. years. All accounts due to the estate of Andrew Grant must be paid to Mr Cross by September 7th, or they will be sued for. A number of new advertisements will he found in our " Wanted " column.
