Wednesday. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Leave of 14 days, on urgent private affairs, was given to Dr. Menzies. INDEBTEDNESS OF LOCAL BODIES. Mr Bobineon withdrew his motion for a return of the indebtedness of all the local bodies in the colony, a similar return being now in preparation for the Lower House. BILLS. The Auckland Eeserves Exchange Bill, the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Bill, and the Waitara Harbor Board Loan Bill were passed through committee. The Pension Bill and the Native Eeserves Bill were read a second time. The St. Paul's Presbyterian Church Trustees Incorporation Bill was read a third time. The Couucil rose at 5 o'clock.
