Mr E. Lyndon will «ell to-morrow, at the residence of i_r G. Ellis, furniture, &c, at 11 a.m. Messrs Miller and Potts will sell to-mor-row, at the Empire sale yards, Waipawa, valuable draught and saddle horses, &c, at lpm. Mr G. A. King has for sale a farm of about 150 acres at Woodville, also a farm of 40 acres. Impoundings at Hastings are notified. The Lyon's Tourist or Pleasure Party are coming. Mr E. F. Menzies has commenced business as an accountant and commission agent in Napier. M essrs Banner and Liddle will sell on the 26th instant horses, saddles, &c. Tenders are invited for splitting and delivering posts up the Akitio river. It is notified that the Public Worts Office, Kopua, is the office to which claims for compensation for land taken for public works are to be sent in. The Borough Returning Officer notifies the annual election of three councillors— one each for the North, Middle, and South Wards respectively —tbe nominations for which must be made by noon on September 1.
