Further large withdrawals of gold are being made from the Bank of Euglaud for North America.
The mails viaßrindisi, which left Melbourne on July 11 per Orient steamship Sorata, were delivered to-day.
August 20. In the House of Commons to-day a motion introduced by Mr Parnell condemning the Government for tbe re-ar-rest of Divitt, after a debate, was negatived by 61 to 19 votes.
