Adelaide flour, ex-warehouse, has advanced to 88s 6d.

"Sew Zealand securities are unchanged, namely, Are per cent 10-40 loan, lus ; five percent 1889 loan, 104£ ; Pour and a half per cent 1879-1904 loan, 10H, ex-dividend. Australian tallow is without quotable chan<rn ; hptit beef per cwt. 34s 6d, and best mutton 86s 6d. August 18. Consols have declined one-eighth to lOOf. The bank rate of discount has been raised to 3 per cent,. The rate in the open market renißiwo at 2f. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £13,250.000. New Zealand securities are unchanged. Adelaide wheat, ex-warehouse remains at 53s ; Adelaide flour, ex-warehouse at 38s 6d, and New Zealand wheat, ex-ship, at 52s 6d. Adelaide, August 19. Wheat, per bushel, is quoted at ss. and the tone of the market is firm. Town flour £11 15s, and country brands £11 per ton.
