LONDON.

■August IC. In the House of Lords to-day the Irish Land Bill was again brought up for the further consideration of the amendments made by the House of Commons at its last sitting. The various modifications were discussed at some length, but the bill was finally agreed to without further alteration, and duly passed through committee. In the course of the debate the Marquis of Salisbury expressed himself satisfied with the final changes made in the measure by the House of Commons, but he added that he held that House answerable for the results which might arise from carrying out the provisions of the bill.
