'Hip total qnantitv of wheat afloat for great Britain is 1,320,000 quarters. iistralian tallow, best heef, unchanged at 84s 6d ; best mutton has risen to 3s 6d. August 13. Consols 100f. New Zealand securities five per cent 10-40 loan, 10S ; five per cent 1889 loan, 104£ ; four and a half per cent 1889 loan, 10l|, ex-dividend. Tn wheat the market prices are rising. Owing to continued excessive rain throughout England, which 19 caiiemg injury to the crops, New Zealand and South .Australian breadstuff 3 are strong at yesterdays quotations. Australian tallow is firm at 34s 6d for best beef, 36s 6d for the best mutton.
