From Messrs. P. Trico for wheat io-dny ranges from 4s 3d to 4s Gd per bushel, according to quality. Freights have been dull, and there is no demand for ships, :-.-ki we do not anticipate there will be until the wool souson commences. Oats are in fair demand, and sales have been made at 2s to 2s 3d ppr bushel. Tn barley very little is doing, and one or two large shipments arej being made to London. Flour is without alteration. The potato market is very dull in consequence of the fall in value at Sydney and Melbourne ; the quantity hrre is not very large, and will be worked off before the end of c eptember. Peven ships are now on the berth for London, five ships aro chartered to load at Lyttleton, &c, and 59 ships hay» cleared with this season's grain for the United Kingdom.

London, August 9. Consols remain at 100|. 11 ew Zealand securities. —Five per cent 10-40 10an,105 ; Aye per cent 18R9 loan, 104*-; four and a half per cent 1878-1904 loan, 10H, ex-dividend. Adelaide and Zealand breadstuffs remain at the following quotations :— Adelaide whent,ex-warphouse, 49s ; Adelaide flour, ex-warehouse, 36s ; New Zealand "i"heat, ex-ship, 48s 6d. A ustr.-dian tallow continues flat at 34s 6d for best beef, and 3Gs for best mutton. Best Scotch pig iron, No. 1, frc? on board in Clyde, is quoted at 51s.
