July 29. Further private telegrams have been received from Calais announcing that the ship Republic, which went ashore near that port on Wednesday last, has since been floated off and towed into flarbor, She has been docked for examination and repairs.

The steamship Ferret will be sold by auction on the 12th proximo.

The paddle steamship Murray, belonging to the Gippslaod Steam Navigation Company, has gone ashore at tbe Gippaland Lakes, and is expected to become a total loss.
