MELBOURNE.
July 29. Parliament resumed yeßterday. It was announced that Mr David Gaunson has resigned the portfolio of Minister of Lands. It was further announced that the prorogation will take place on Wednesday, and a new session will commence on Friday next.
In the Legislative Assembly a discussion took place in regard to the action of the late Commissioner of Trade and Customs, Mr A. T. Clark, in admitting barley free. Mr Clark was charged with partiality, and with acting ultra veres, asd it was stated by Mr Graves, the new Minister of Customs, that the system would be discontinued. Mr Clark de" fended his conduct, aud then left the Chamber.
