ARRIVALS.
July. 15 —Owake, brigantine from Dunedin. 15—"Venus, ketch, from Mercury Bay. 16 —Jessie, ketch, from Poverty Bay. 16 —Kiwi, s.s., from Wellington, via Castle point.
The brigantine Owalce, Captain Pardy, from Dunedin, arrived last evening after a passage of six days, and was brought inside and moored at the breastwork by the pilot. She brings a full cargo of 780 sacks of oats consigned to Messrs Banner and Liddle. The lcptch Venus, Captain King, arrived last evening from Mercury Bay, and was brought straight inside. She brings a cargo of 30,000 feet of sawn timber and 17,000 shingles, consigned to Mr H. R. Gunn. The ketch Jessie arrived from Poverty Bay at 10 o'clock this mornine, and came straight ineirle. She is in ballast, and is to return to Gkborne with a load of coal from the schooner Silver Cloud.
The Union Company's s.s. Arawata, Capt. Sinclair, leaves Wellington at 5 o'clock tonight, with 60 tons of cargo and 4 horses for here, and may be looked for to-morrow about noon. She is advertised to sail for Northern ports at 4p.m. The Union Company's s.s. Penguin leaves Gisborne to-night, and will arrive here by daylight to-morrow morning. The advertised time for the Boojum to leave the wharf with the outward passengers is 10 a.m.
The s.s. Sir Donald's repairs are now almost completed, and she will leave for Blackhead as soon as the weather moderates, ■with a full load of timber, which she has already on board. The steamer Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, left Wellington on Thursday night; arrived at Castle Point next morning; landed mails, passengers, and cargo, and left at 1.30 p.m. under easy steam, arriving here afc 10 o'clock this morning. She was berthed at the cattle wharf immediately on arrival. Eepor's having experienced strong easterly weather with a lumpy sea throughout. She brings a full cargo consisting of general goods, and a large quantity of transhipments out of the ships Waimea, Mary Low, and City of Carlisle. Owing to the wet to-day she was unable to discharge, and her departure has consequently been deferred until 5.30 p.m. on Monday. The s.s. Result, Capt. W. E. 'Baxter, was coming in from the Wairoa as our report left the Spit.
The breastwork to-day presented quite an aminated appearance, being completely lined with schooners and brijiantines, in some places three deep.

The Pacific Mail Company's steamship 2ealandia sailed for San Francisco via Auckland yesterday afternoon.
Melbourne, July 15. Arrived, this afternoon, Union Company's steamship Rotomahana from the Bluff.
(by telegraph.) Wellington, July 16. The Bowen, from Eoochow via Auckland, arrived this morning.
