REMOVAL OF H.M. CUSTOMS.

[To the Editor of the Daily Telegraph.] Sir, —Kindly allow me space in your columns to correct a statement in " Onlooker's " letter, which appeared in the Herald yesterday, and in which he states that the Custom House has been removed from Port Chalmers to Dunedin. This is quite a mistaken idea, as the Custom House has always been in Dunedin from the very earliest days of the settlement.— I am, &c, DuNEDINITE. Napier, July 15,1881.
