Thursday. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. ALIENATION OP LAND BILL The Alienation of Land Bill was read a second time and referred to a select committee chosen by ballot. LEAVE OV ABSENCE. Leave of absence for the remainder of the session was granted to the Hon. H. B. Bussell on account of ill-health.
