Wickbam has ended by the latter pleading guilty, and tendering an abject written apology, in which he acknowledges the defamatory statements made by him against Hurst to be false and without the slightest foundation, and binds himself to pay £20 towards the prosecutor's expenses, while regretting that he is not in a position to pay more, and undertakes to refrain from publishing criticisms on Hurst for the future.
