DUNEDIN.
July 12. In the Supreme Court to-day M. Simonsen sued Joseph Solomen for damages for breach of promise of marriage. The defendant appeared and said he was always prepared to fulfil his promise. Plaintiff's counsel said this was the first they heard of such a thing, and plaintiff pressed for the only reparation possible in the circumstances. The jury returned a verdict for £125.
