PARIS.
July 9. Intelligence has been received from Tunis reporting that the French fleet before Ssfax is still engaged in shelling the town. An attempt was made to-day to land a storming party under cover of the guns of the ships. The Arabs, however, who were in strong force, opened a heavy fire upon the boats, and tbe troops failed to effect a landing.
