SCULLING MATCH.

WELLINGTON, July 11

The sculling match between Hearn, of Wellington, and White, of Auckland, for the championship of New Zealand and a sum of £100, was rowed on Saturday. The course was 3k miles in length, and the water was smooth. A good start was effected, White leadiDg for a short distance, but he was soon overhauled by Hearn, who won as he liked, finishing ten lengths in advance of his opponent. The time occupied was 29 minutes. The winner was greeted with tremendous cheeriug in landing.
