ARRIVALS.

July. 7—Maori, s.s,, from Wairoa via Mohaka. Passengers—Mrs Bee, Mr and Mrs Chapman, Messrs W. Balfour, Harris, Banbury, and John Webb. B—Kiwi, s.s., from Wellington, Castle Point, and the coast.

« The steamer Maori, Capt. H. Anderson, returned from Wairoa via Mohaka nt 4.30 p.m. yesterday, bringing several passengers and some general cargo. Tbe steamer Kiwi, Cnpfc. James Campbell, urriyeri in tho bny at an early hour this morning from Wellington, via Flat Point, Uriti, and Castle Point. She tvas brought inside about 10 o'clock, and moored at the breastwork, where she discharged her cargo, some 60 tons, into the Customs shed during the day. Owing to the rain preventing the shipment of the Gisborne ~argo, she will bo unable to get away for that place before 3 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.

The Union Company's s.s. Penguin is to leave Wellington this afternoon for here, in place of the s.s. Bingarooma (which vessel returns from Wellington to Dunedin for repairs), and may be expected to arrive tomorrow forenoon, sailing for Northern ports at 4 o'clock.

The s.s. Sir Donald's new boiler arrived by the s.s. Kiwi to-day, and was placed in her direct from that vessel's slings.

The Union Company's s.s. Te Anau leaves Gisborne this evening, with 35 tons of cargo, and may be looked for here at daylight to-morrow morning. The advertised time for the Boojum to leave the wharf with the outward passengers is 11 a.m.

[BY CABLE.] London, July 5. The Merchant Shipping and Underwriter's Association report the arrivals of the ships Wellington from Timaru (sailed April 17), and A. C. De Zietas from Lyttelton (sailed March 18). [by telegraph.] Wellington, July 8. The C.G. b.b. Stella left at noon to-day on a visit to the northern lighthouses. She proceeds via the East Coast.
