Mr H. Wall closes his jeweller's shop for the future at 6 p.m. except on Saturdays. Messrs H. Monteith and Co. hold their usual stock and produce sale on Saturday. A meeting of the Hawke's Bay Club this evening at 8 o'clock. ■ :

A meeting of intending players in the quoit match to be played on Saturday next will be held this evening at the Provincial Hotel. ,

A grand concert in aid of the Sutherland family will be given in the Theatre on 3?ripay, JulyS. ' . .

The general meeting of the Napier Rifle Volunteers will be held this evening in the hall next Mr N. Williams' shop Emersonstreet.

The meeting of the Napier Temperance Mutual Improvement Society takes place on Thursday next, and not to-night.

Messrs- Neal and Close announce that their establishments will be closed for the future on Saturdays at nins o'clock. H. J. Hills states that he will not be responsible for any debts contracted by his late partner, James Sinden, of the late firm of Sinden and Hills, blacksmiths. Messrs Monteith. and Co., sell fifty head of horses at the Shamrock yards on Thursday next July 7. Mr S. E. Cooper will close Ins jeweller , g shop, Hastings-atreet, after July 4 at 6 p.m. evei-y evening, except on Saturdays. Mr T. K. Newton has received a further shipment of new goods. ' Messrs Leonard and Co., notify ladies and men's clothing, and an extensive assortment of cheap hats.
