QUEENSLAND.

The Premier denies Griffith's statement that strenuous efforts were made to exclude him from the sittings of the steel rails commission, and states that no objection was made to his presence. He also denies that any attempt was made to exclude important evidence. The Premier states that the commissioner's report, with the evidence, is on board the Cuzco, and will be printed on arrival. Mr Griffiths, replying to tbe Premier, says he can only understand his denial by the supposition that he uses ordinary English words in a different seuse to that which they convey to his own mind.
