DUNEDIN.

June 29. A three-roomed cottage in Northstreet Valley, belonging to Mr Ellery, was burnt down this morning. It was insured in the Transatlantic office for £125. The Cromwell mine has sent down a cake weighing 317 ounces of gold from 290 tons of stone for a fortnight's crushing. The body of an apparently newly-born male child was found in a calico parcel off Princess-street this morning A four-roomed house in Upper Kaikoiai, occupied by Mr John M'Leod, was burned down this morning.
