At the Police Court this morniQg John Tait, who was yesterday committed for trial on the verdict of a Coroner's jury on a charge of nrson in connection with the burning of the slaughter-house at Washdyke, near Timaru, was brought up for magisterial iuquiry, aud remauded at the request of the police until Friday, when additional evidence is likely to be forthcoming.
