From the Chairman of the Wairoa County Council, enquiring whether any definite reply could now be given to a recommendotion from the Council on the subject of a timber reserve of 1000 acres In the Rotukakaranga block.—The Chairmad read a reply he had forwarded to the effect that the Board bad decided to consider the matter on receipt of the Chief Surveyor's report on the land: ProiH the secretary of the O'rmondville Small Farm Association, giving notice that section No. 112 bad been transferred from Mr Webb to Mr F. H. From Mr William Youngman, asking assistance for making the road leading to bis selection in the Ngamoko block. —The Board directed that Mr Youngman be informed that the Board could not assist him in opening up the road to the land taken up by him, and that one-third of the payments made on account of the land would be handed over to the County Council or Road Board for the construction of roads; also that the sections at the back of his had access from other roads.
