June 21. The third series of this year's wool auctions will open on August 23rd. The importers committee have decided not to place any restriction upon the quantity to be offered. The fourth series of sales will commence on November 22nd. The returns of the census taken on the 3rd April last show that the population of Ireland has decreased by 250,000 during the decade.
