CALCUTTA.

June 20,

Telegrams are to hand from Candahar announcing that, since the defeats inflicted prior to the 7th instant at Girisbk by the Ameer's troops upon the followers of Ayoub Khan, a further engagement has taken place between the two forces. In the last encounter Ayoub's adherents were completely defeated and put to rout, and have since fled from the neighborhood of Girishk. It is now stated, however, that Ayoab KhaD, with a considerable following, is leaving Krigsafed (sic: Gur I Safed ?) to reinforce his routed troops.
