THE PLOUGHING MATCH AND FOAL SHOW.
(by telegbaph.) Hastings South, June 21.
The meeting to day is a decided success. Twenty ploughs are competing in all classes, and present pppearauces point to W. Pulford being first for tbe champion prize, and H. Pulford being second. The other entries for the champion class are J. Davidson and Upsall Gray. In Class A., T. Prater, H-M'Donald, and R. Thompson are competing. In Class 8., J. Murphy, D. Reeves, J. Ryder, J. Ramsay, Amos White, W. M'Donald, G. Frost, and W. Pepper are the competitors.
In Class C. there is no entry. In Class D. Tiwai, Hori and Honi Ratu are the entries.
In tbe foal s>u,w, in the class for fillies, there are three entries and Mr Ormond takes the first prize, and Mr J. Heslop the second. )ti the colt class there are nine and Mr J. Heslop takes first and second prizes, Mr Ormond's exhibit being commended. Mr Douglas M'Lean's special prize was awarded to the trustee of the late James Watt.
