June 13. At the wool sales to-day 9900 bales ■were offered. The market was firm.

In the House of Commons the consideration of the Irish Land Bill in ooramittee was resumed on the 9th instant, after the Whitsuntide recess, and has continued at each day's sitting since that day.

In the House of Commons last night, in the course of the debate on the Irish Land Bill, the Right Hon. W. E. Gladstone made a speech, in which he remonstrated against the action of the Opposition towards the bill, and hinted that the Government was prepared if necessary to demand urgency in order to ensure its speedy passage through committee.
