Tho Council met at 3 p.m. NOTICES OF MOTION , . Mr Lahman gavo notice to move the address (as prepared by the committee appointed for that purpose) in reply to the Governor's speech. Mr Whitaker gave notice of tho introduction of a bill to prevent fraud and improvidence in the alienation of native lands, and to extend the jurisdiction of the Native Land Courts to the lands of dead natives.
