ATOTICE is hereby given that from and after the IM 15th instant, the Bye Law relafave to Crossings over Foot vays will be rigidly enforced, and anyperson driving or riding across any footpath without having previously complied with the. regulations, will be prosecuted. The following clause of the Schedule to Bye Law No. I of the Bye Laws of the Borough is published for general information. CROSSING OVER FOOTWAYS AND CHANNELS. Crossing, &c, Footway, &c. save bt made Crossing. . , L , . , Every person who wilfully and without lawful excuse rides or drives any horse or other animal or drives or wheels an) carriage cart or other vehicle upon along or acrcss any footway or any water channel or gutter herein called channel by the side of any Btreet save in each such case upon acd by or at seme crossing to be made as hereinafter mentioned shall forfeit a sum not exceeding five pounds and shall also pay to the council such Bum not exceeding ten pounds by way of compensation for any damage done by him to the footway or channel as the justice adjudicating information shall on the hearing thereof order.
