DEPARTURES.
June. 11—Ringarooma, s.s., for Southern ports and Melbourne. Passengers—Mr and Mrs Faulknor and 5 children, Miss M. A. Monaghan, Henare Tomoana, M.H.R., Messrs W. Ross, Cave, Micholson, Gray, and J. Rhodes. 11—Eesult, s s., for Wairoa. Passengers— *cv. Mr and Mrs Goodyoar, Mrs Taylor, aud a number of natives.
The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Ringarooma, Captain H. W. N. <"hatfield, arrived here at 6 o'clock this morning from Northern ports, having left Auckland on the 9th inst. at 1 p.m.; arrived at on the 10th at 3 p.m. j left again in the evening, arriving at Napier as above. Experienced strong southerly winds down the coast. She was tendered by the Boojum for mails and passengers, and by the ketch Three Brothers for cargo, consisting of about 30 tons of general merchandise, which she discharged at the breastwork during the afternoon. The steamer left for Southern ports and Melbourne at 1 o'clock. The s.s. Result, Captain Baiter, steamed for Wairoa this morning, taking a number of passengers and a large general cargo. The Union Company's s.s. Rotomahana, Captain Underwood, leaves Welling'on this afternoon, and should arrive here in good time to-morrow. The advertised time of her departure for Sydney via Northern ports is 4 p.m. The three-masted schooner Silver Cloud, Captain Charles Balle, sails for Newcastle on this afternoon's tide, taking about 50 tons of potatoes and ballast. A topsail schooner was beating up the bay as our rep-irt left the Spit, which will ii: all probability prove to be the Zior, Capt. J. Botham, from Ihme'Hn, with a full load of breadstuffs and general goods. The steamer Kiwi, (apt. James Campbell, leaves Wellington on Monday night, and will arrive here early on Wednesday morning. She is to proceed to Gisborne this trip, and will in all probability leave for there on Wednesday evening. The s.s. Fairy has cleared at the Customs for the coast, and will leave to-morrow night if the weather holds westerly. We learn that the Union Company's s.s. Taiaroa, Capt. J. Anderson, leaves Dunedin on Tuesday next with cargo for Northern ports, and -will call at Oamaru, probably Timaru, and Lyttelton en route for here and Auckland,

The Merchant Shipping and Underwriter's Association report the arrival of the ships Lochnagar from Napier (sailed February 12), British Sceptre from Port Chalmers (March 3), Palata from Lyttelton (March 8), and Dunloe from Auckland (February 21).
