Borough Notices. BOROUGH OF NAPIER. CROSSING OVER FOOTWAYS. NOTICE is hereby given that from and after the 15th inßtant, the Bye Law relative to Crossings over Foot rays will be rigidly enforced, and any person driving or riding across any footpath without having previously complied with the regulations, will be prosecuted. The following clause of the Schedule to Bye Law No. I of the Bye Laws of the Borough is published for general information. CROSSING OVER FOOTWAYS AND CHANNELS. Every person who wilfully and without lawrul excuse rides or drives any horse or other animal or drives or wheels an> carriage cart or other vehicle upon along or across aDy footway or any water channel or gutter herein called channel by the side of any street save in each such case upon ard by or at some crossing to be made as hereinafter mentioned shall forfeit a sum not exceeding five pounds and shall also paj to the council such sum not exceeding ten pounds by way of compensation for any damage done by him to the footway or channel as the justice adjudicating upon the information shall on the hearing thereof order. TENDERS will be receivable at the Town Clerk's Office, Napier, up to Noon of MONDAY, the 13th June, 1881, for the purchase of one or more Subdivisions of Town Sections Nos. 375, 378. 379, 380, 381. 382, 383, 335, situated on the Reclaimed Land. The Subdi/isions are all pegged out, and numbered from Ito 54 consecutively. Subdivision 23 is reserved from sale. Tenders may be sent in subject to either of the two following conditions, viz : 1. Cash on acceptance of Tender 25 per cent, of Total amount; balance in 1, 2, and 3 years at 7 per cent. Or, 2. Cash on acceptance of Tender 10 per cent, of total amount; balance in 1,2, 3, and 4 years at 8 percent. The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
