The annual grand meeting of the Napier Football Club will be held at the Criterion Hotel this evening at 8. The Borough Council will meet this evening at 8. A St. John's winter gathering will take place to-morrow evening. Impoundings at Hastings are notified. A meeting for the purpose of forming n Temperance Mutual Improvement Society will he held at the Methodist Free Church, Shakespeare road, on the 2nd Jnne. The fourth ordinary meeting of the Union Insurance Company will bo held at Christchurch on the sth July. The business to be transacted will be found in the advertisement. Ifc is notified that a general rate of one shilling in the pound will be levied at tho next meeting of the Pakowhai and Waitangi Highway District Board, to be held on the 14th instant. Messrs Monteith and Co., advertise particulars of the sale of the Exchange Hotel, on. the 6th instant. A concert for the purpose of raising funds for the erection of a gymnasium in connection with the district school will be held at Clive to-morrow evening.
