DUNEDIN.
May 31. Mr Prince has purchased the race horse Mata for £800, and intends bring' ing him to New Zealand. The licensed victuallers object to the thirty-five applicants for new licenses, on the ground that they are not wanted. A crowded meeting of sympathisers with the Irish Land League was held here last night. Resolutions were carried expressing sympathy ; subscription lists were opened; and a ladies' committee formed.
