Iα the case against Thomson, the Maori, for pushing Kodgers from a railway carriage when corning from the Papakura races, the evidence showed that Rodger?, when pushed, fell over the ehoulder of a man sitting on the edge of the carriage platform, thuo falling clear of the track, otherwise he would doubtless have been killed. The prisoner protested that he had no intention of pushing the man over. He was fined £5 or one month's imprisonment.
