May 23. At the wool sale to-day 11,400 bales were offered, making a total of 105,100 bales calculated since the opening. Less demand was experienced and prices were occassionally easier. The survivors state that two explosions occurred, botb about the same time, at ten o'clock in the morning, while the vessel was at anchor. They, are however, unable to throw any light upon the cause of the terrible disaster.
