Forming and metalling near Grant's—R. Isaacson (not accepted), £3 15s per chain. Supply of timber, Ruataniwha—B. Kemp, (accepted), 15s 6d per 100 ft.; E. Drower, 15s 9d ; J. Wheeler, I7s-6d.
Hereraunga Road, N0.., 2 —A. Gilmore, (accepted), £2 8s per chain. Ashley-Clinton Road, forming and side cutting in five contracts.—No. I—W. Ebbett, 12s 9d per chain; A. Brewer, 12s ; Berkahan and Co, (accepted) 10s 6d ; Bans Hemmingsen, £I*7 10s. No. 2—Berkahan and Co. (accepted), 475; A. Brewer, 40s; W; Ebbetfc, 47s 6d; Fans Hemmingsen, 445. No. 3—Ebbett, 14s 6d; Brewer, 12s, Beriahan, and Co. (accepted), 12s 3d; P. Jensen, 11s 6d. No. 4—> bbett, 17s 6d; Olsen, 15s 6d; Brewer, 17s 6d ; Berkahan and Co. (accepted), 7s 3d ; N. Neilson, Bs. (The aggregate sum of Berkahan and Co.'s tenders for the five contracts being lower than tliat of the others, their tenders in each case were accepted.)
Excavating 40 chains sirlp-drain through Hitching's valley, near Sherwood —Berkahan and Co., 9s 9d per chain; B". Hemmingsen, 9s 6d ; A. Brewer (accepted), 8s ; P.-Jensen, 9s per chain.
