Borough Notices. ELECTION OP AUDITORS. WHEREAS the Annual Ordinary Election of two AUDITORS for the Borough of Napier will be held on WEDNESDAY, the first day of June, 1881,1, the undersigned, do hereby appoint FRIDAY, the 20th day of May instant,'aa the day, and the office of the Town Clerk, Napier, as the place, for the NOMINATION of Candidates; and also give notice that any persons desirous of nominating a candidate must, before Noon of the said 20th day of May, cause to bo addressed to me, and delivered at the said office of tho Town Clerk, a nomination paper in the prescribed form, stating the Christian names and Surname of Biich candidate; and each such nomination paper must be signed by two electors of the Borough, and by the candidate in token of his assent to the nomination. SALE OP VALUABLE SECTIONS ON THE RECLAIMED LAND. TENDERS will be receivable at the Town Clerk's Office, Napier, up to NOON of MONDAY, the 16th May, 1881, frr the rurchase of one or more Subdivisions of Town Sections Nos. 575, 378, 379, 380, 381, 382, 383, 385, situated on the Reclaimed Land. The Subdivisions are all pegged out. _ and numbered from 1 to 54 con-ecutively. Subdivision 23 is reserved from sale. Tenders may be sent in subject to either of the two following conditions, viz.; 1. Cash on acceptance of Tender 25 per cent, of total amount; balance in 1, 2, and 3 years at 7 per cent. Or, 2. Cash on acceptance of Tender 10 per cent, of total amount; balance in 1, 2, 3, and 4 years at 8 per cent. The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted. NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of this Council at its next meeting on MAY 16th, to levy a General Rate of Odin the £ upon all rateable property within the County, such rate to be for the period from the Ist day of April, 1881, to the 81st day of March, 1882, and that the said rate shall be payable en the 2nd day of July. 1881.
