The soil is generally good, and suitable for agriculture, more or less covered with red and white pino and other timber ; the land is nearly level with the exception of Sections 20 and 21, Block 111, which are broken and soil not so good. In Block VI, Section 15 is good flat agricultural land, lightly timbered; Section 17 similar land and soil with heavy bush; Sections 19,21, and 24 light bush, nearly fiat. TAKAPAU SURVEY DISTRICT. In Block V the ground isundulating, the soil light, and covered with forest chiefly red and white pine. Block VI is of a similar character, except that' there 'are small quantities of totara mixed with other bush. Sections 1 and 2, Block X, are good soil, but hilly. The bush is suitable for mills, and owing to facilities of communication by railway the trade in timber is increasing. It' is desired to set forth in a concise form information respecting the business which this office undertakes : 1.. The charge of all kinds of money trusts, such as Marriage SettUments, monies to be invested for the benefit of Minors, moneys bequeathed for charitable objects, monej s the title to which is In dispute, or whose legal owner is unknown or cannot be found, etc., etc. ' 2.
