Maori, Captain Anderson, steamed for the Wairoa shortly after eleven o'clock last night, taking a fair cai'go. The Union Company's s.s. Rotomahana, Capt. Thos. Underwood, is to leave Wellington at 6 o'clock to-night, with 40 tons original cargo, and should arrive here about midday to-morrow. Her advertised time of departure is 4 p.m. for Northern ports. The s.s. Ringarooma is to leave Gisborne to-night, and will arrive here at daylight to-morrow, sailing again for Southern ports, Hobart, and Melbourne, at 11 o'clock. She brings. 45 tons of cargo for here. The steamer Result, Capt. Baxter, left for Wairoa at about 12 o'clock last night, •with passengers and cargo. Tbe steamer Bella, cleared at the'Custotn House to-day for Clive, and will sail tomorrow morning. The s.s. Kiwi, Capt. Campbell, is to leave Wellington for here to morrow night, and will arrive on Monday, returning; to Wellington the same day. The s.s. Go-Ahead, Capt. F. M. Dicker, is making two trips between Wellington and Lyttelton since leaving hero, and will not leave Wellington for this port before Monday night. The brigantine Parah Pile, Captain George Romevill, cleared at the Customs to-day for Kaipara in ballast.

(BY TELIiGRAPH.) Dim v din, May 6. , The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advices of the arrival at London of the ship Piako from Port Chalmers (sailed May 6th). Captain MoGallum has just received a telegram from the heads stating that the Peruvian baruqe Fray Bentos is anchored outside the heads in six fathoms of 'water. Pilot Patch on is on board, but the captain will do nothing for him. He will neither shift out nor in for safety, and the ship is in danger. Coxswain Milne requests Capt. McCallum to communicate with the agents. A signal has been run up from the Fray Bentos to the effect that some one is drowned. Lyttkltow, May 6. Failed ship Weathersfleld for Queen9town \ or Falmouth for orders.
