Additional news has_ reached the Admiralty regarding the disaster to Her Majesty's ship Doterel in the Straits of Magellan. It is known that eight officers and" 135 men were killed by the explosion, but nothing has yet been learned as to the cause of the same.

It is announced that the Irish members of the House of Cooimons will shortly propose a vote of censure on the Right Hon. W. E. Foster, Chief Secretary for Ireland, for his action in connection with the arrest of Mr Dillon, M.P. The Irish Land Bill was again under consideration in the House of Commons this evening. In the course of the debate which took place Sir Stafford Northcote made a speech forcibly condemning the measure. He further took occasion to denounce generally the policy of the Government, which he characterised as decidedly communistic in its tendencies.
