PORT A HUBERT. ARRIVALS. April. 26—Result, s.s., from Wairoa. Passengers —Hon. W. 8. Peter, Messrs J. Gemmell and Arthur Desmond, and the three Pmith children for the Burnham Reformatory. 26—Maori, s.s.. from Wairoa. Passengers —Miss Miller, Messrs Laing, J. Irvine, and Jonathan. 27— Go-Ahead, s.s., from Wellington via Castle Point. Passenger—Mr Chapman.

The s.s. Maori. Capt. H. Anderson, returned from Wairoa shortly before 11 o'clock last night, having got out ot the Wniroa about three o'clock in the afternoon. She reports the bar to be in a very bad condition, there being three channels, with very little water in either. The s.s. Result, Capt. Baxter, arrived from Wairoa last night about 10 o'clock, ■with several passengers, 10 bales of wool, and three bales of skins. The steamer Go-Ahead, Captain E. M. Dicker, arrived at 5.20 a.m. this day, and was i'?-ju;v:it hntfo pud moored at the cattle wharf Biiortly afterwards, where she discharged her cai'go during the day ; it consisted of about 120 tons including a large quantity of transhipments out of the ship Crown thorpe from London. She reports having left Wellington at 7 o'clock on Monday night; arrived at Castle Point at 7 o'clock next morning ; landed mails, passengers, and 45 tons of general cargo, and left at 4.45 p.m., arriving here as above. Experienced fine weather with an easterly roll throughout. She steams for Wellington at 6 o'clock to-night. The s.s. Kiwi is to leave Wellington tonight, and will probably arrive here on Friday morning, sailing for Gisborne the same evening. Owing to the bad state of the. Wairoa bar the s.s. Fairy has postponed her visit to that port, and is now loading up with posts for Te Apiti.
