Both Houses of Parliament reassembled to-day after the Easter recess. In tbe House of Commons the Right Hon. W. E. Gladstone made a speech, in which be referred in terms of deep regret to the death of the late Earl of Beaconsfield, and gave notice of motion to come on in a fortnight's time in favor of funds being voted for the erection of a monument to the late Earl in Westminster Abbey. In the House of Lords several peers took occasion to refer to the death of the Earl of Beaconsfield, all expressing great regret at the sad event.
In the House of Commons this evening the Irish Land Bill came up for discussion on its second reading. In the course of the debate the Right Hon. Edward Gibson, G.C., who was AttorneyGeneral for Ireland under the last Administration, made a speech, in which he denounced in strong terms the provisions of the measure before the House.
Both Houses of Parliament adjourned this evening until 9 p.m. to-morrow (Tuesday) as a tribute of respect to the memory of the late Earl of Beaconsfield.
The state of Ireland iscaußing renewed uneasiness, there having lately been' a marked increae of agarian crime. Reports are now coming to hand daily of outrages committed in various parts of the country.
