Complete returns of the Customs revenue collected in New Zealand have been received, and show a total of £1,309,848, being an increase of £136,309 on the previous year. William Ebden, who was recently fined £40 for sly-grog selling, has again been caught by the police selling spirits. He was charged with the offence at the Police Court to-day, and fined £50. He was also charged with assaulting the constable who detected him, and sentenced to fourteen days imprisonment with hard labor. While the barque Himalaya was off the heads this morning a seaman fell from the royal yard to the cross-trees, and broke bis thigh.
