April. 9—Albion, s.s., for Northern ports.. Passengers— Mesdames Davis, Barker, and Miller, Aliases Ham em, Hoslett, Gillies, and Adamson, the Rev. W. C. Oliver, Mrs Oliver, and family, Messrs. J. G. Kinross, Johnstone, C. Smith, J. Mood, and Dyer, G natives, and 13 saloon and 12 steerage. — * The Union Steamship Co.'s s.s. Albion, Captain W. V. Sinclair, arrived here from Southern ports on Pnturday afternoon at 4.30 o'clock. The purser. Mr D. Dalgleish, has favored us with the following report of passage : —left Port Chalmers (having transhipped the mails, passengers, and cargo from the Arawata from Melbourne) at 6 pm. on tbe 6th instnnt, and arrived at Lyttelton. at 3 p.m. on the 7th ; left at 8.30 p.m., and arrived at Wellington at 2.30 p.m. on the Bth : left again at 8 p.m., and arrived here as above. Experienced fine weather throughout the passage. The steam launch Boojum tendered for the mails and passengers, landing those inwards at 5.45 o'clock, and taking off those outwards at 6.15 o'clock. The steamer Sir Donald took off two racehorses from Mr W. Douglas, and 150 sheep from Mr Thomas Bishop, consigned to Auckland ; and the ketch Admiral lightered the cargo, some TO tons. The Albion steamed for Northern ports afc 4.30 on Sunday. The s.s. Maori, Captain R. Anderson, returned from Wairoa on Saturday evening. She is to leave again for the same place at at 6 o'clock to-morrow morning. The s.s. Result, Captain Baxter, is to leave for Wairoa at midnight to-night. The steamer Fairy returned from Wairoa yesterday in ballast. The s.s. Kiwi, Captain Campbell, is to leave Wellington for this port at 5 o'clock to-night, Messrs Shaw, Savill and Co.'s barque Anazi, Taptain J. Hill, is to clear at the Customs to-day, but will not sail for London before Wednesday, as she has to await the arrival of some A.B.s by the s s. Kiwi. The New Zealand Shipping Company's chartered, barque Loch Fleet, Capt. R-. Clachrie, cleared at the Customs at 6 o'clock, on Saturday evening, and will sail to-night if she gets a land breeze. The following is the summary of her cargo :—Shipped by Messrs Wardrop and Co., 4 casks of tallow, 4 bales greasy and 74 bales of washed wool, "allied at £1*689 12s 9d ; shipped by Messrs Kinross and Co., 120 casks of tallow, 189 washed and 5 bales of greasy wool, and one box of effects, valued at £6412 lis; by Major W. Routledge, 171 bales washed and 17 bales of greasy wool, and 1 bale of greasy skins, valued at £2642 15s 9d; shipped by Messrs Banner and Liddle, 234 sacks of wheat, valued at £187 4s ; by the New Zealand Shipping Company, 173 bales of greasy and 191 bales and 12 quarter bales scoured wool, 10 packages effects, 136 casks tallow, and 5 bales of greasy skins, valued at £10,217 14a 6d ; by Mr J. W. Williams, 52 casks of tallow and 7 kegs of extract of meat, valued at £1649 ss; by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, 797 bales and 191 quarter bales of scoured wool, 685 bales of greasy wool, and 119 casks of tallow, valued at £29,406 9s ; by Messrs Murray Roberts and Co., 57 bales scoured and 10 bales of greasy wool, 1124 quari er-bales of scoured and 103 quarter-bales of greasy wool, and 4 casks of tallow, valued at £816117s 6d, the grand totals being 2379 bales and 1430 quarterbales of wool and skins, 1430 quarter-bales of wool, 435 casks of tallow, 7 kegs extract of meat, and 11 packages effects, the whole being valued at £60,367 9s 6d.
