CAPE TOWN.
March 28. News has been received to-day from Basutoland reporting the resumption of hostilities between the Basutos and the colonial forces. A severe battle has been fought between the latter under Colonel Carrington and the enemy, but without decided success to either side. Colonel Carrington was somewhat severely wounded during tbe fight.
Sir Hercules Robinson made a speech to-day, in the course of which he said there was every prospect of a permanent peace being secured in the Traosvaal.
