From the Chairman of the Wairoa County Council relative to site for future Hospital. It was decided to recommend to His Excellency the Governor that the following sections be set aside for a site, Nos. 532, 533, 578, 579, 713, 714, 759, and 760, Township of Clyde. From the Chairman of the Wairoa County Council, recommending that 1000 acres of timbered land in theßohikaranga block may be reserved for local public works. It was decided to leave the matter over until the Chief Surveyor's report on the land be received. From Mr Frederick Moore, desiring to take up about 75 acres in the Makaretu reserve. Resolved that the land is included in a block now being surveyed, and cannot be sold at present. From Mr J. W. Edgecombe, complaining that there is no road cleared to his allotments at Makaretu. The Chairman read a letter he had sent to Mr Edgecombe, and the action was approved. From Mr C. Hutchins, requesting permission to advertise for application for right to occupy section No. 11, Bush Mills, and requesting an extension of time to make improvements. Resolved that the application should be granted, and twelve months be allowed for improvements. UPSET PRICE FORFEITED LAND. It was decided that, when the land at Makaretu, declared forfeited on the 25th January last, be offered for sale, the upset price shall be 20s an acre. APPLICATIONS APPROVED. The following applications were ap-proved:-No 2577, byT. E. Brill, for sections 11 and 12, block 9 ; No 2578, by H. Troutbeck, for section 58, block 13 ; No 2059, by H. Troutbeck, for sections 13, 14, and 15, block 9. ISSUE OF LICENSES. Licenses were ordered to be isssued under section 63 of the Land Act, 1877, in respect of the following applications:—No. 39, by P. Hyland, for section 10, block 13; No. 4, R. Dicky, for- section 9, block 13, Tahorite Burvey district. LAND WITHDRAWN FROM RESERVATION. It was decided that His Excellency the Governor should be recommended to withdraw from reservation certain lands reserved for sale by proclamation in the Gazette of 20th June, 1872, namely* about 100,000 acres in the Ruataniwha district. The Board then adjourned.
