DEPARTURES.

March. 23—Booium, s.s., for Wairoa. Passengers —Mr and Mrs P. W. Balfour, Messrs Panbury. and four others, as well as three natives.

The s.s. Kiwi, Cn.pt. Jas. Campbell, left Wellington nt 0 o'clock on Saturday night; arrived :it Terawiti at daylight next morning ; disclifilled 35 tons of cargo, and left at 6 p.m. the same day, arriving at Castle Point nt 2 a.m. next day, but was unable to land any cargo till Tuesday on account of the heavy westerly wind blowing, when she discharged 45 tons ; left at noon, and arrived here nt 2 a.m. this day. fche was brought inside and moored at the cattle ■wharf at 8 o'clock, where she discharged her cargo for here, consisting of pome 80 tons of general merchandise, during the morning. She is to leave for Wellington about. V o'clock to-night.

The s.s. Kuiry returned from Waikari at 8 o'clock yesterday afternoon, having landed the whole of her cargo, but was unable to ship any wool, as the ?ea got too heavy.

The s.s. Result, Captain Baxter, arrived from Wairoa yesterday afternoon, bringing a small shipment of fruit and some passengers.

The s.s. Maori, Capt. Anderson, returned from Wairoa yesterday afternoon, bringing several passengers, 100 cnses of fruit, and 96 sacks of wheat. The latter portion of her carso she transhipped to the bavque Loch Fleet for London on account of the New Zealand Loi-n and Mercantile Agency Company. She is to leave again for Wairoa at 11.30 to-night.

The Union Steam Ship Company's s.s. Boojum, Capt. Dowell, steamed for Wairoa at 4 o'clock this morning, taking several passengers and some cargo. The s.s. Sir Donald did not leave for Blockhead last night, as she learnt by telegraph that the sea was making at Castle Point. She will, however, leave to-night.
