March 22. The grape crop at Akawa is almost totally destroyed this year by blight.
Yesterday evening Dr Burrows, of Rangiora, was thrown violently from his buggy and severely injured. He is in a somewhat dangerous state.
A large number of shares in the proposed West Coast Railway Company have been applied for during the past few days.
