The Jockey Club autumn meeting commenced yesterday morning, but was poorly patronised by the public. The weather was fine and the fields good. The purchasers of the privileges will lose money owing to their giving excessive prices and the attendance being so small. MAIDEN PLATE. Emerald 1 Jack 2 Star 3 JOCKEY CLUB HANDICAP. Hilarious 1 Talent 2 Atlanta 3 Only the above started, Luna being scratched. Atlanta led for three-quar-ters of a mile, when Talent went to the front, but at the turn home the favorite Hilarioue came with a rush, and won easily. Time, 3mins. 39secs. A protest was lodged against the winner for not carrying the full weight. LONDON HANDICAP. Little Lady, colt 1 Sultana 2 Little John 3 Six ran.
